Bubba happily serves people from all over the world and from all walks of life. You never know from one moment to the next who might be sitting next to you, or for that matter who might be our Guest Chef. Hanalei is chuck full of celeberties, and eventually they all find Bubba's.
When asked in an iterview about shooting her new Music Video
Caillat: “I worked there just
one summer. But then every time I would go back, I’d
always get talked into taking up a couple of shifts
because someone wanted my help or something like that.”
Doane: (Darren Doane-music video director).
“Everyone that works at Bubba’s is in the video, just
doing their thing … everyone that runs it, and all the
cooks. We shot in the morning since they didn’t open
until 12:30 that day.”
Caillat: “They had to open a bit late because we extended
(the shoot) a little. The owners are the people I stay
with every time that I go to Kauai, so it was fine.
They were stoked on it.”
Doane: “Once they opened, we took a lunch break and
we all got to eat Bubba Burgers. Man, they really are
some of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Just fantastic!”
Caillat: “I did the exact same stuff I did when I worked
there. I was on window. My friends were at the grill.
You put the little order ticket up on the clothesline
and you throw it. If someone puts a tip in the tip jar,
you have to ding a bell and sing a song.”

Clinton gets red carpet
at Bubba’s on Kauai By Tom Finnegan
Bubba visited Bubba Burgers in Hanalei, Kauai, yesterday.
The Bubba in this case is former President Bill Clinton, who goes by the nickname. He took pictures with the employees and got a shirt with the slogans -- "We cheat tourists, drunks and attorneys" and "We relish your buns" -- and a hat.
Clinton, wife U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and their family left Kauai after a week-long vacation on Kauai's North Shore.
One of Bubba's employees, Gabe Avalon, spotted the Clinton party eating breakfast next door to the restaurant and said, "Bubba, you got to come to Bubba's," manager Alison Swanson said.
"He was really nice," Swanson added.
Clinton, who has been known to eat a hamburger or two, came too early to get one of his namesake burgers.
The Clinton family, including daughter Chelsea and what some reports say was her fiance, had been staying at a private residence in Haena with members of the Secret Service from Honolulu and their own detail in tow, said Al Joaquin, Secret Service special agent in charge of the Honolulu office.
Besides Bubba's, the Clintons stopped at a number of North Shore eateries and took in some of the famous views along the Na Pali Coast. The Clintons were also spotted golfing at Princeville.
Clinton last visited Kauai in 2002, when he spent a day campaigning on four islands for Hawaii Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mazie Hirono, who lost to Gov. Linda Lingle. Sen. Clinton also toured Kauai in 1993 while the Garden Island was recovering from Hurricane Iniki.

Robert Downey, Jr. ate at Bubba's Kapaa
nearly every night while filming "Tropical Thunder"
on Kauai. In an interview with ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY on his
Oscar Nomination, he had this to say when asked how he survived
the arduous shoot.
"By chain smoking camel non-filters, sipping from fozen
Gatorades, and eating Bubba Burgers everynight, which, by
the way, may be the greatest burgers on Earth"
